This Privacy Policy explains what information StudyVaults collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. We keep data collection to a minimum.
Reading the notes
You can browse and read the notes without creating an account. When you simply read the site, we do not ask you for any personal information.
Information stored in your browser
To make the site work well, we store a small amount of information locally in your browser using localStorage (not tracking cookies): your light/dark theme choice and your "mark as revised" progress. This stays on your device and is not sent to us unless you are signed in.
Accounts (optional)
If you choose to create an account (when account features are enabled), we use Supabase to handle sign-in and to sync your revision progress across your devices. In that case we store your email address and your revision progress. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
Analytics and advertising
We do not run third-party advertising or behavioural tracking on StudyVaults.
Third-party services
- Google Fonts — used to display the site's typefaces; your browser requests these from Google, which may receive your IP address as part of serving them.
- Supabase — provides sign-in and progress syncing when you use an account.
- Netlify — hosts the website and may keep standard server logs for security and reliability.
Your choices and rights
You can clear the information stored in your browser at any time through your browser settings. If you have an account and would like to access or delete your data, email us and we will help.
Children
StudyVaults is aimed at students. If you are under the age required for consent in your country, please use the site with the involvement of a parent or guardian.
